Ayn Rand on America: “You are moving toward disaster.”- | Mike Wallace Interview (Part 2) 1959

“I hold her in equal esteem as my economic hero Milton Friedman, both brilliant minds.
To wit;

8-8-2016 (2235) Capitalism vs socialism/communism or opportunity and freedom vs indentured servitude and constraint or Friedman vs Keynes or Reagan vs Nobama or the U.S vs Venezuela and lastly Trump vs hildabeast or a chance at restoring economic health vs continuing the precipitous trajectory towards the abyss of economic collapse~~~~~~Michael Slavin Sr.”

Capitalism, though not perfect (nothing is) is still the best economic tenet going. It has proved itself time and time again to be the vehicle that lifts all boats in a rising tide.

You cannot legislate success, you simply cannot will success and you most certainly cannot regulate and/or set price controls in a consumer based economy.

Government after all, produces nothing of value, it cannot be held accountable for its failures or wrong minded bets.

Left leaning socialist loving people/politicians ALWAYS want to make sure everyone knows that they care more than anyone else does, regardless of actual results. To them it is all about what they say they intend to do and NOT about what they ever actually do, they are not by nature, a results oriented species.

The best intentions of the state/bureaucrats are not that which drives success. Success and reward for hard work are achieved by action and dogged determination and most importantly, INDIVIDUAL perseverance. Speaking in nauseating broken record platitudes, which rarely achieves anything positive, is a specialty of the underachieving bureaucratic state.

No society in the history of the world has lifted more of its poor out of poverty than those societies that employ a system of Capitalism, bar none.

And it’s antithesis? Marxism. Marxism is a cancer and Capitalism is the only known cure.

As Gordon Gekko said in the movie Wall Street; ““Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Greed is right. Greed works. Greed clarifies and cuts through to the essence of the evolutionary spirit.”

Take it as you may, but greed/Capitalism, works. Myriad examples abound since the founding of the United States of America, proving its virtues time and time again. If it were not for Capitalism fueling the Industrial Age, the country would’ve been hard pressed to fight and be victorious in both WW1 and WW2. I could go in greater detail for those that are not privy to said information.

Capitalism is yet another tool that has provided the means to achieve and maintain the Liberty and Freedoms that we all enjoy (though eroding in real time). You should count yourself as fortunate to be a part of this grand experiment.

How does this tie into the upcoming presidential election?

Well a vote for hildabeast, or no vote for Trump will be a continuation of the impotent and anemic NObama economy that has CRUSHED the middle class while exponentially increasing those on government welfare.

And Trump? Well it remains to be seen, though I am confident in his business acumen and I am especially confident that he will surround himself with the best and brightest in every position in his cabinet.

He made an intelligent and sound economic speech today, loaded with facts, figures and a resplendent tax plan. But like the majority of politicians whom promise the earth and sky but fail to deliver, he must execute the vision he has laid out.

Remember, the last 25+ years have been littered with “career politicians” who placated the voters with highly detailed grandiose plans/ideas.

And what has that gotten us? Take a look around, at your town, your city, your county, your state and the country, (and the world) myriad examples abound of the cancer known as “government,” that has grown far too much and where the term “special interest” REALLY applies. It is over-bloated and inefficient, it enriches the few at the expense of the many.

It is a self-serving and monolithic aberration.

It is an anemic socio-economic hell-storm and bears very little resemblance to that which gave birth to the economic super-power in which the United States became.

And because of our huge economic advantage, it allowed our country to become the predominant military super-power and leader of the free world.

And capitalism was the fuel that drove the economic engine of the U.S.

Let the FREE MARKETS ride, the CONSUMER has always been the best arbiter of the flow of goods and services, NOT THE bureaucrats.

God Bless America

*Disclaimer; we have drifted away from unfettered Capitalism in the last 25+ years, we need to get back to that which made this country great.
