“Teach your children well….” so goes the lyrics of a popular song from the 1960’s. I am heartened to see that all is not lost among the younger generation today in spite of so many millennials still living in their parents’ basement totally out of sync with the realities around them.
I’m finding the best sources for blogs which speak from the hearts and minds of today’s average American are taken from well-researched comments and stories on social media. This is what this story is about, a comment posted on our Wake UP, America Page.
Dear Voters, YOU MUST READ THIS. This was a response from my son to a Hillary Supporter.
“As an incredibly independent voter, I would agree with you that Trump is not the perfect candidate, unfortunately President Bill Clinton will of course have a large portion of sway over what happens in the White House if Mrs. Clinton is elected, just as Hillary had a large amount of sway over Bill whilst he was president. That is how spouses in the White House have always been, especially if the spouses are both career politicians. Unfortunately, it seems that during this election neither candidates are prime choices but we are where we are. I would say, however, that some change is very needed. We need people that are not career politicians to start producing some change in the government and the Clinton’s are definitely not the people to do this. Personally, I am tired of seeing the same families in politics, and this includes the Bush family and others like it. Public service (i.e.. congressman or senators or the President) were not meant to be a career but rather a public service for a short time then you go back to your actual career. It was basically supposed to be like jury duty. You do your time then get out. That is not how it is any longer and it really needs to be. On top of all of that the things Mr. Trump have said are not ideal. Not by a long shot, but I would take mean words over corrupt actions any day of the week. He may have said some vulgar things (which many people around the country joke about in the privacy of their friendships), but at least he didn’t leave people hung out to dry in Benghazi. At least he did not commit gross negligence with national security issues that could have gotten people killed. At least he didn’t ignore a federal Subpoena and destroy information when the subpoena was requiring Hillary to release emails and other information that was erased or destroyed. She had no privacy in regards to those things as a public servant, especially once the subpoena was issued. If any normal American citizen did that they would have been immediately arrested and put into prison for destroying evidence amongst other charges. Actions will always speak louder than words and in this case Mr.s Clinton’s actions speak volumes over Mr. Trump’s mean words.”
